Kasim is a dedicated consultant with a background in psychology and linguistics, inspired by a passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals. Kasim brings a deep understanding of cognitive, emotional, and social development, particularly in underrepresented and late-diagnosed autistic populations.
Before transitioning into consultation, Kasim spent several years teaching, gaining firsthand experience working with diverse learners of various ages and abilities, developing high-leverage educational strategies, and advocating for student needs. This experience fostered a keen awareness of the gaps in autism identification and support, particularly among underrepresented individuals and those diagnosed later in life.
Now, as a consultant, Kasim specializes in guiding individuals, families, and professionals through the diagnostic and self-identification journey, offering insight, resources, and advocacy to ensure a strengths-based, affirming approach to autism support. With a commitment to research-informed practice and community-driven solutions, Kasim works to challenge outdated narratives and promote a more comprehensive understanding of neurodiversity.
When not working directly with clients, Kasim is a key member of our research team, engaged in ongoing professional development and community outreach efforts to expand awareness and accessibility for underrepresented autistic individuals.
